Joren is a certified Wim Hof Method instructor and has been teaching this method since 2012. He has coached thousands of people through leading his own expeditions, workshops, and personal coaching and also through personally working with and supporting Wim Hof himself for many years.
The Wim Hof Method is characterised by it’s simplicity, effectivity and based on a strong scientific underpinning when it comes to voluntary influencing our own immune, vascular and endocrine system - all vital mechanisms that influence our health - by combining specific breathing, focus and cold adaptation techniques.
We are capable of much more than we think we are when it comes to our mental and physical wellbeing. Through his years of experience in practicing and teaching the Wim Hof Method he teaches how breathing, focus, cold training and by going into nature, can play a tremendous role in our health, strength and vitality. Offering benefits such as increased energy, reduced stress, peace of mind, improved sleep, faster recovery, boosted immune system and having great impact on the general sense of wellbeing.
In his teachings Joren shares a lot of his inspiration drawn from eastern philosophies like Taoism and Tibetan Buddhism. Together with his background in applied psychology and professional football he has expertise on how to enhance motivation and improve performance, and therefore establishing a rhythm of practice, which is crucial in enjoying the sustained benefits of the method.
Workshops
Regular or advanced workshops usually last half a day and are designed to give a solid introduction to the fundamentals of the method through various powerful and effective breathing, focus and cold training exercises.
travels
Winter travels take place from December to late in the spring according to location. These are great for people that want to experience the WHM in nature and go deep with cold immersion training and challenges like hiking to mountaintops in shorts!
